Announced back in May of this year, Need For Speed: Rivals is the first NFS title to feature Gothenburg’s (Sweden’s second-largest city) own Ghost Games behind the steering wheel, this is the twentieth installment in the long-running Need for Speed series. A new trailer for EA’s Need For Speed Rivals highlights the various customization options available for players who want to sit behind the virtual wheel of their own dream car.
Players will be able to earn different types of cars with different statistics, strengths and weaknesses, and customize them as they see fit: The trailer shows different paint jobs, color schemes and racing stripes. Not all of these additions are purely cosmetic; players will be able to purchase gizmos and gadgets like EMP bursts or spike traps to deter pursuers.
Need for Speed: Rivals will be coming out on current-generation consoles on November 19. The company has also announced plans to release the game for the next-gen consoles, namely the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, sometime this year. The current-gen platforms that will be getting the game include the Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3 and PC. As of now, EA hasn’t revealed if the Wii U will be getting a version.
