Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is an upcoming historical action-adventure open world video game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft. It is the sixth major installment in the Assassin’s Creed series, a sequel to 2012′s Assassin’s Creed III modern story and a prequel to its historical storyline.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag will launch globally on October 29 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, Ubisoft has confirmed.The current-gen versions of the pirate-themed adventure had previously been scheduled to reach European shores on November 1, after an October 31 release in Australia.The PC version of the game was originally scheduled to release alongside the current-gen versions, but was pushed back to the next-gen release.
The game will feature three main cities; Havana, Kingston, and Nassau, Bahamas, which reside under Spanish, British and pirate influence, respectively. The game will also feature 50 other ‘unique’ locations to explore, with a 60/40 balance between land and naval exploration.
