We have been wondering for so long as to how the new Batman suit and Batmobile would look like. Well last week, WB costume designer mentioned the suit will be inspired from the graphic novel Batman: Noel.
Batman: Noel, a graphic novel released in 2011 which was inspired from Charles Dickens classic – A christmas carol. As I’m certain most of you haven’t read the comic yet, here is how the cover looks like:
As you can see, the ears are much smaller, which makes me worried as I don’t want him ending up to look like Daredevil.
This is the statement:
Current cowl designs resemble the Caped Crusader’s look in Batman: Noël. Which is a 2011 graphic novel written and illustrated by Lee Bermejo, based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol. They also explored concepts that looked like Injustice: Gods Among Us designs, but ultimately passed on those because they were too similar to Nolan’s costume.
So we will be looking at an entirely new Batman. As for the Batmobile, it is being built by General Motors at the GM Advanced Design Studion in North Hollywood. The question that’s running in your mind now is “would it look like the tumbler”. The answer is NO.
On the bright side, production designer Nathan Crowley and engineers Chris CUlvert and Andy Smith have been consulted on the designs. All three have previously worked on Nolan’s Batman trilogy and were responsible for making the Tumbler. So we might be able to see a better looking Batmobile.
Lets just hope for best. And here are some comic strips from Batman: Noel.
