As a kid, I grew up reading Harry Potter. It was the craze at that time. But everytime a movie comes out, we will be happy as well as dissappointed at the same time. Dissappointed mainly because some really good scenes which we had read in the book, which we wanted to see so badly in the movie wasn’t shown. I always wished if only they could’ve shown everything in the movies.
Now, we got news from IMDB, which states that J.K. Rowling, the author of the Harry Potter series, is going to make her debut in screenwriting with “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them”. So Harry Potter fans rejoice, as its not the end of Harry Potter.
Now before some of you get all cranked up and start abusing saying that they should’t have continued it, as it can spoil the Harry Potter saga, I want you to know that this is not going to be a sequel to the movies. This story is actually a prequel, 70 years before Harry Potter.
“The laws and customs of the hidden magical society will be familiar to anyone who has read the Harry Potter books or seen the films, but Newt’s story will start in New York, seventy years before Harry’s gets underway,” Rowling said in a statement. Warner Brothers still serve as the worldwide distributor for the series, excluding the United Kingdom. Production is set to begin in 2014.
I’m still wondering if this is good or bad news. Harry Potter was good for the era. No one had seen anything like it. Let’s just keep our fingers crossed, and hope that they won’t ruin the franchise.
