Jim Parsons aka Sheldon Cooper won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at the 65th Annual Emmy Awards
On a wild night of upsets at the 65th Primetime Emmy Awards, virtually nothing seemed to be going “Breaking Bad’s” way.
Jim Parsons has won Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series at the 65th Annual Emmy Awards for his role as Sheldon Cooper on The Big Bang Theory.
Beating out nominees Alec Baldwin for 30 Rock, Jason Bateman for Arrested Development, Don Cheadle for House of Lies, Louis C.K. for Louie, and Matt LeBlanc for Episodes, Parsons got emotional while accepting his third Emmy.
Jim Parsons has won three Emmy in the last five years.
During his acceptance speech, Parson said
“My heart, oh my heart. I want you to know I’m very aware of how exceedingly fortunate I am,” the comedy actor reacted in his acceptance speech.
“First to have the chance to do this role in this show–thank you, Chuck Lorre, Bill Prady, Steve Molaro. Secondly, to be here to be a part of such a phenomenal group of people and for seemingly happenstance reasons to be up here right now, thank you so much.”
